We ask to determine if you would be considered first in your family to attend college. As a trailblazer in your family, we want to make sure you have the support you need to succeed!
Residency
There are several ways a student can be classified as an Arizona resident for tuition purposes. Find out if you're an Arizona resident.
Identification
Preferred name
- What it is: A name you use other than your legal name.
- Where it's used: Class rosters, LOUIE, and other platforms to support respectful communication.
- Legal use: Your legal name will appear on official documents (e.g., tax forms, paychecks, mailed communications).
- Who sees it: Faculty and relevant staff.
Sex
- What it is: Your legal sex, matching your Social Security records.
- Why it's collected: Required for federal reporting and compliance.
- Who sees it: Staff with federal reporting responsibilities or a verified need to know.
Gender pronouns
- What they are: Words like “she/her,” “he/him,” or “they/them” used to refer to you.
- Where they're used: Class rosters and Salesforce for respectful communication. Update anytime via LOUIE.
- Who sees them: Faculty and staff.
