From guided walking tours led by current Lumberjacks to virtual options for those exploring from afar, each visit is designed to showcase life, learning, and the stunning Flagstaff campus.

Explore campus
Attend a free admissions event in Flagstaff to explore campus, connect with current Lumberjacks, and discover what life in northern Arizona is all about. These events are the perfect way to get your questions answered and see if NAU feels like the right fit.
Campus tour options
Lumberjack campus visit
Lumberjack campus visits are offered at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the academic year.
This visit includes:
- need-to-know admissions information
- lunch at one of our All-You-Care-To-Eat dining halls
- a campus tour led by a True Blue Ambassador
- an opportunity to meet one-on-one with an admissions representative
Lumberjack campus visit + extended day with academic college exploration
Spend more time on campus with a visit that includes academic college exploration. This extended tour begins at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays.
The extended visit includes:
- need-to-know admissions information
- lunch at one of our All-You-Care-To-Eat dining halls
- a campus tour led by a True Blue Ambassador
- visit with staff or faculty from your academic area of interest
- an opportunity to meet one-on-one with an admissions representative
Virtual campus visit
Virtual sessions are offered once a month and begin at 3:00 p.m. MST-AZ.
These virtually lead sessions include an informative presentation and the opportunity to engage with an admissions representative who can answer your questions.
Summer Lumberjack Campus Visit
Campus visits during the summer months (May-August) begin at 10:00 a.m. Monday-Thursday. This visit includes:
- need-to-know admissions information.
- a campus tour led by one of our True Blue Ambassadors
- an opportunity to meet one-on-one with an admissions representative
Summer Campus Visit (Tour ONLY)
Summer campus tours begin at 3:30 p.m. on Monday-Thursday during May-August summer break. This tour includes a campus walking tour led by a True Blue Ambassador.

Transfer student visits
Learn about transferring to NAU. In addition to the special events listed below, transfer students are always welcome to attend our Lumberjack Campus Visits.
Virtual Transfer Fridays
Join us virtually several Fridays this semester to learn more about transferring to NAU. This session is intended for students who have more than 12 college credits completed after high school graduation and are looking to transfer to the Flagstaff Mountain Campus.
Transfer Visit Day
Our most extensive transfer visit experience includes insider tips from NAU transfer students, information about the transfer credit process, transfer requirements, campus life, and more.
Group Tour
Group tour details
Have 10 or more people interested in taking a tour? Sign up for a group tour, which includes all the highlights from our Lumberjack Campus Visits.
Group Tours are available from Tuesday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m and include:
- a presentation about admissions and financial aid;
- a chance to get all your questions answered about life as a Lumberjack;
- a tour of our beautiful campus and;
- complimentary lunch.
Requesting a group tour
Please provide at least six weeks’ notice for group tour requests. We require a minimum of one chaperone for every 10 students.
To set up a group tour, or if you have further questions, call 928-523-0922 or email grouptours@nau.edu. A staff member will follow up with you to answer any questions or to finalize and confirm tour details.

Traveling to campus
Directions to Northern Arizona University
Most NAU tours and events begin at the Student and Academic Services Building (1100 S Beaver St.), and visitors park next door in the San Francisco Parking Garage (1101 S San Francisco St.).
Visitor parking
Planning your visit? When participating in one of our scheduled campus tours, parking is complimentary. These details will be provided at the time of your Campus Tour registration.
