Western Undergraduate Exchange
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) and merit-based scholarships available to out-of-state students. WUE eligibility is based on your residency. If you’re from one of the following states or territories, you’re in!
Through WUE, students from participating western states can attend NAU at a significantly reduced tuition rate. It’s an incredible value that makes a high-quality, four-year university education more accessible and affordable for families like yours.

Every fall semester, we host Family Weekend. Family Weekend is a fun-filled event that helps you learn more about NAU, explore the campus and Flagstaff community, and determine if our college experience is the best fit for your student.

Family Access Communication Transition and Support (FACTS)
Family Access Communication Transition and Support (FACTS) broadens college access for first-generation students by supporting their primary influencers, their families, through meaningful outreach materials and in-person programming. FACTS is here to help connect families to resources and information, helping to strengthen their confidence and highlighting unique strengths and experiences they bring to help their student be successful.
Team College Bound
Team College Bound provides families with comprehensive resources, education, and guidance on your student attending college. Parents or guardians attend five engaging lessons (1 per week) where we break down the college process into core topics:
- the value of a college education
- building a robust support network for student success
- navigating the admissions process
- strategies for paying for college
- ensuring a successful college transition
This program is for family members of high school students in 10-12th grade, in Arizona, who are curious about enrolling in a college or university after graduation.
Team College Bound will offer curriculum at different times in English, Spanish, Online, and a program specifically designed for Indigenous families. Each lesson is approximately 2 hours long and held weekly at the same time and location.
