Undergraduate Research Symposium
Join us for NAU’s Undergraduate Research Symposium, where students present research and creative work across disciplines. Connect with future scholars and explore ideas shaping tomorrow.
Each April, NAU’s Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity hosts the Undergraduate Symposium, a cross-disciplinary event where students showcase their academic and creative work. With participation from every college, the symposium highlights the innovation, curiosity, and talent driving research at NAU.
Student opportunities
Presenting at the symposium is a great way to gain experience, receive feedback, and strengthen your professional skills. It’s an opportunity to share your research with peers, faculty, and professionals, and it looks great on résumés and grad school applications. In fact, 87% of employers say research experience makes new grads more competitive.
Faculty
Faculty reviewers play a key role in the symposium by offering feedback, mentoring first-time presenters, and celebrating student success. Your engagement helps foster a supportive academic culture and encourages student growth.
Community and reviewer participation
Whether you’re a faculty member, community supporter, or industry professional, your presence as a reviewer or guest is meaningful. It validates students’ hard work and gives them valuable experience presenting their ideas to a broader audience.
