Campus living communities
NAU has a wide variety of Campus Living Communities, including traditional, suite-style, and apartment options designed to meet your needs at every stage of your college journey. Freshmen and sophomores live primarily in traditional and suite-style communities, while juniors, seniors, and graduate students often choose apartment-style living.

With nearly 10,300 students living on campus, NAU ranks in the top 1% nationally for on-campus housing capacity. Living on campus means more than just convenience—it’s about being part of an active, supportive community, steps away from classes, dining, and student resources.
Our campus is centrally located in Flagstaff, making it easy to explore the city and get where you need to go. Whether you’re heading to class, grabbing food downtown, or hitting a nearby trail, you’ll have plenty of transportation options. Ride the free NAU shuttle, hop on a yellow bike with our bike-share program, or use the Flagstaff city bus system, all designed to help you get around campus and Flagstaff with ease.
