Steps post-acceptance: graduate student

You’re in! Now let’s get you ready for your first semester. From enrollment to housing, here’s everything you need to start strong at NAU.

Congratulations, Lumberjack! Welcome to NAU

Congrats on your acceptance! Follow these steps to lock in your spot and gear up for your first semester.

1. Say 'yes' to NAU

Confirm your admission by submitting any required graduate enrollment fees (these will vary by program). It’s the first official step toward joining your program and starting your journey.

2. Apply for financial aid

If you haven’t already completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), now’s the time. Maximize your financial support with federal aid, scholarships, and grants. Visit financial aid instructions for graduates for additional details.

3. Plan where you'll live

Explore housing options, on and off campus, and make sure to apply by the deadlines. Grad students are welcome in several on-campus communities. Learn how to apply for housing at NAU.

4. Upload required documents

Log in to your LOUIE account to upload key documents like immunization records and your NAU ID photo. Visit the Health and Wellness page if you have questions about immunization requirements.

5. Send us your official transcripts

Make sure NAU receives your official transcripts for GPA and degree verification. These must come directly from the issuing school (unless you completed your undergrad at NAU).

Mail all official transcripts to:
